Sinds zijn aankomst in een revalidatiecentrum na een ernstig ongeval zijn er heel wat zaken die Ben niet meer kan doen: hij kan zichzelf niet meer wassen, zich niet aankleden, niet lopen en geen basketbal meer spelen. Zijn nieuwe vrienden zijn parachutisten en mensen met hoofdletsel.... Kortom, een stelletje gehandicapten. Samen zullen ze het aanleren geduld te hebben. Zij zullen zich verzetten en schreeuwen naar elkaar, maar vooral de energie vinden om te leren opnieuw te leven.
